1.) Miami Dolphins - How well Miami do will relate directly to how well Ricky Williams does. Will he finally live up to the hype Ditka set so long ago when he practically traded the whole team away for Ricky? Cuz if it ain't Ricky, it sure ain't gonna be Jay Fiedler.
2.) New York Jets - Vinny Testaverde's, like, what, 90 years old? Seriously, that guy is a dinosaur. The Jets ain't going nowhere on that arm of his. Instead, as usual, the team will be hitched onto Curtis Martin's back and hauled to the brink of the playoffs. He's the most underrated star back of the NFL.
3.) New England Patriots - I'm putting out the word now. If New England wins the Super Bowl again, I will streak across UCLA stark naked. Last season to the Patsies is like Mmm-bop was to the Hansons--a one hit wonder. This is not to say they're not good. I think they're a very solid team that snuck up on the league last season. In 2003, everyone's gonna be ready for ya.
4.) New York Giants - I swear my Bills will finally go undefeated and win the Super Bowl this season. All the ingredients are in place. A stud QB in Bledsoe, a smash-mouth RB in Travis Henry, peerless receivers in, um, Peerless Price & Eric Moulds, and a sneaky, underrated D anchored by corners Nate Clements & Antoine Winfield. No tongue-in-cheek smiley here. I am dead serious.
